The Truth About God's Love...

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

Many of us have quoted and heard John 3:16 repeated almost like a mantra, but as Easter is fast approaching we need to truly consider the magnitude of what this verse in the Bible really means. As a new mother, the idea of giving my daughter's life for someone else's life seems impossible, to say the least. Now imagine giving your child's life for the life of people who don't like you; people who persecute you, people who ascribe every negative attribute onto you, and knock you down every chance they get!
The Bible doesn't say that Christ's life was given for only Christians or believes, no it says the WHOLE world. As Easter comes and goes consider the fact that God's love is greater than black or white, gay or straight, rich or poor, political affiliation, and even greater than religion. Although, INDEED there is a lifestyle that Christ maintains is the WAY to heaven, but His death and love is not contingent upon that believe.

He died for us all because of His love for His father, and because of God's love for us.  So during this Easter remember the life God desires for you to live, "And He said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'...Matt 22:37-39
